Just watching sky sports news and he's wearing a sweatsuit with four days until the weigh in. Anyone think he could be struggling?
I don't know if he's got history of struggling with weight, he always looks relatively soft - think that's just how he's made up though.
Good point. I'm expecting the fight to be a hard slog for them both so IF DeGale has had any trouble making the weight I think it may be quite significant
In the past Degale said he believed he could make 160 if he really needed to and the opportunity was there so he shouldn't really be struggling to make 168.
I thought that was why they call him Chunky?? I think DeGale definatley does struggle with the weight. Didnt he weigh more than 168 for his last fight??
He really shouldn't be struggling, he was at 165/6 in some of his fights and has said before he could do 160 with enough notice. He was called Chunky because he used to be fat as a child, and his last fight was at less than a week's notice against a journeyman so he was always going to be above 168.
