James Degale is fighting Carl Dilks this weekend I have never seen Degale fight but I have heard quit much about him lately and with only 7 pro fights stepping it up each time, do you think he is moving to fast by fighting Dilks, I see Dilks he beat Sam Horton easy.

He's moving at the right pace in terms of opposition, but needs to be much more active. He should've fought a whole host of Hortons/Dilks' by now. This inactivity at such an important stage in his development may harm him later on IMO.

Oh, btw James is the truth!

De Gale's nothing special. ****ing sloppy, preferring to showboat when he should be doing the business - and even worse, he looks a complete **** when he does it.

I think Groves has his number.

please remember when you see people slating degale they very rarely talk about his skills they seem unable to separate him in the ring or his potentiol from his persona and how he acts out of the ring

to cut it short because they think hes a dick head they dont rate him as a boxer

I think James Degale could be a star in the making but his slow level of fight is frustrating me.

I think he has all the skills yes he can be sloppy at times when he is showboating but i think British boxing is crying out for "that cocky guy" and degale might just be able to fulfill that role.

With Groves being on the scene i would love there to be another Eubank Benn rivalry in british boxing

His persona often leaks into his performances. That's the issue. If he was a solid boxer who performed in the ring, instead of dicking about in a fight he could have finished in two rounds, it wouldn't be an issue.

In the ring he's sloppy, contemptuous and frequently lazy. Hopefully he'll cut that out when he faces better guys.

Has Skills, But has to stop the experimenting with defensive techniques that have no benefit to him in a fight. People say he slaps a bit and don't have no power, Well he's getting job done. I do agree his punches need tightening up a bit but the boys talented and has the ability to be a World Champion.

I think he's improving without doubt.
But like a few people have said already, he slaps a lot and i'm not so sure how he'll respond when he starts getting hit back and taken out of his comfort zone.

His style reminds me a little of Michael Nunn, very effective, can look great, but can also bore you and won't win everybody over.

He's done well handling the negativity, but i think he now revels in being the 'hated' figure.

Only my opinion of course, but i think he stops Dilks late or wins wide points. Don't think Carl has the speed to give him any troubles at all.
Would like to see Carl go the distance as he's a nice lad and come thru without any fanfare.
