Ok, as you all should know James is gonna fight last minute replacement Fres Oquendo this Saturday. For his last fight (Rahman II) his weight was 226lbs, the lowest it has been for many years, but this time I guess it's gonna be a very disappointing 231lbs - because I fear James couldn't motivate himself anymore once he got informed that Tony Thompson was out of the fight. Anyways, it doesn't really matter as he should box Oquendos ears off even at that weight. I really hope I'm wrong with my prediction and Toney weighs in below 225lbs. Give me your predictions, and please don't post lame jokes like 'Toney=fat LOL' or 'Toney trains at Burger King' - they weren't that funny to begin with and start getting really old..
i think he will come in at a very motivated 223-224,the thompson fight was only called off 9-10 days ago and he was well into training camp so i think he will be in the zone imo.
I'm going with about 235. He could realistically do much MUCH lower, even at his age. But "could" and "will" are two different things.
227lbs. He was motivated enough to get down to 229 for Batchelder and then 226 for Rahman. I don't think he'll keep dropping until he gets back to 217, but he'll be under 230.... hopefully.
