I wouldn't even say he sucks, but there is a reason they are bringing him up so slow. That's fine but these type fights are not giving him any experience.
Another heavyweight America is desperate to push and become champ which may happen with good match making but I agree he sucks any HW with title aspersions should be koing Martin
I wish all the other heavyweights were as active and as well-promoted and managed as Anderson. Inactivity has been ruining a lot of good heavyweights like Wallin, Hrgovic, and Dychko.
To be fair he is still learning to be a HW. Good kid but not ready for a real test as Martin proved that point.
Anytime he can collectively gain rounds and experience is a good thing but eventually he needs a real challenge. Staying active is good for him physically too. after this fight line him up with Parker and test him for real
He doesn't suck, but it's clear he's got a long way to go to hang with the top dogs. Ironically the Martin fight made me most impressed with him. I like to see fighters get tested and hurt to see how they respond and he responded well. His defence is obviously a massive issue for him, and he really needs to tighten it up, but he also needs to avoid falling in love with his power, because while he hits pretty hard he doesn't have the type of crazy one punch power that will bail him out of any situation. I hear he's fighting Rudenko on the 26th August, which is exactly the type of fight he needs at this stage. A really tough journeyman who'll guarantee to take him rounds (unless he's washed up or paid to take a dive; I hope not).
