Out of the £23000 He will pay 10% trainer and up to 25% manager. Most managers take 10-20%. he's managed by errol johnson, not sure what he usually takes. Let's say 20%, that's 30% deductions. He'll end up with around £15,000 for himself, a trip to L A expenses paid and a shot at a world title. Wellborn and his team knows that these chances probably won't come round that often and he has to take the opportunity and hope that things fall in his favour. Let's be right, there is a small chance he can win this fight, if the gods look down on him.

The vast majority of boxers don't make that much money, even a lot of the ones you see on televised cards operating at a decent level. There will be blokes posting on here who make more money from their unspectacular, regular joe jobs than some of the boxers they are fans of. Yet they probably don't even realise it.

 

It's a horrific purse for a world title fight after training expenses and manager/training costs and tax he will be walking away with barely 10k. I know he doesnt deserve a world title fight and Hurd is the draw in the fight but to only be getting 3% of what Hurd is getting is insulting.
