Norris could do what Meldrick did for a lot of the fight but Chavez would catch him eventually. Chavez ko 9. Terry lost a lot of gloss when Waters sat him down. This fight went out the door that night.

Pretty easy one to pick. Norris UD. He was too big and dynamic for those smallers guys and i guest that's why he kept calling them out. If you can't get Norris out of there it's almost impossible to outbox him. I don't think Chavez would hurt him enough too small really.

No even though this was when Chavez was recognized as the Number 1 Pfp fighter, he was still considered an underdog.. I was a huge Chavez fan and i didnt like this one for him, only the hardest core Chavez fans thought hed win this.

Terry Norris, he personification of speed and my face book buddy, would have to be the favorite in this one. His speed made him the irrisistable opponent. Chavez just too slow on his feet to make this a fight

Presumably this fight would have been at 147 ? Could Norris have made 147 without killing himself ? Surely Chavez wouldn't have had any real chance had the fight been for 154.

Norris started of as a welterweight and at the time of him calling out Chavez he said he was willing and able to make 147. It's interesting because Terry was really just a big welter and at 147 that physical advantage wouldn't be there as much as when fighting welterweights at 154. For the sake of argument lets have this fantasy fight that was close to reality at a catchweight.

Don King wasn't going to let it happen and said himself that Chavez would lose.Norris was fond of calling out the likes of Chavez and Whitaker, but not so much in regards to Julian Jackson, who was very eager to fight Norris again.
