I really want JDS to win in terms of striking i think JDS has an edge against cain, however cain velasquez has great wrestling which JDS doesnt have. In terms of Bjj JDS has a brown belt in traditional BJJ whilst Cain has a brown belt in Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu, i dont really know what the difference is though. In my opinion this fight can swing in anyone's favour i think it will depend on whether or not JDS has improved more on his takedown defense, and whether Cain can take him down. I think this fight will be ended in either a TKO by JDS or a UD for Cain. Tell me what you think!

    Two Cool Highlights

i think cains gonna win it.

even if his bjj is worse i think his wrestling ability is more than enough to make up for it.

jds will probably get put on his ass and pounded out.

I want Cain to win. I was on the fence, but after seeing JDS beat the **** out of Carwin and Nelson I'm more of a Cain fan now. Plus he seems the smaller guy and has more knockout power so yeah, Cain. JDS bores me a litle.

And I don't think JDS has an advantage in striking.

Cain all day for me JDS's cardio will be heavily pushed in this fight and I see him wilting as early as the 2nd Round and stopped.

Such an interesting fight, as both guys are still relatively green against top tier competition, with JDS being the more experianced imo

Cain really hasnt faced a striker of JDS' caliber except for Kongo, and he has a few problems with him.

JDS hasnt really faced a grappler that he hasnt beaten up on the feet 1st. I dont really regard Roy and Shane as takedown guys like Cain

I think JDS will make Cain eat enough leather in the early going to make Cain's TD game less effective and keep the fight standing for long enough periods to take the decision. But I see the majority of this fight as taking place in the clinch tbh dont see an all out war, atleast until the Championship rounds

Guerilla jits is from Dave Camarillo is a specialist at Judo (as well as jits but the judo sort of sets him apart) and has also been taking up wrestling. Its designed to be more aggressive and he would argue its more suited to MMA. I think it works alot about being in a dominant position and looking to attack with a sub rather than accepting you are weaker, being taken down, attacknig from guard etc

Camarillo works with guys like Courmier (who helps everyone at AKA with their wrestling), Cain, Fitch etc The whole AKA lot.

I think JDS is going to win this
His stand up is better than cain and his TDD isnt to shabby either and he has mostly been using his boxing skills but we have seen a knee or two from him also.
Cain was chin checked against Kongo and if that happens with JDS i dont think he would survive long.
It was a long time ago Cain was in a fight so that will also work for JDS advantage

cain by stoppage around 3rd or 4th, no way junior stops theTD's, and even if he stuffs a few his stamina in comparison to cains is very suspect

I want Junior to win, but I can't really pick a winner with any real confidence. If pushed, I will back Junior to win. Although his TD defence hasn't been tested by a force of nature like Cain yet, it has been superb so far. JDS is definitely a better boxer than Cain, and should edge the stand-up. As long as he doesn't get taken down repeatedly in the first two rounds, Junior will systematically break Cain down with punches, and either stop him late or win a decision. It'll probably be Fight Of The Year.

What i think , is that this is one of the best stylistic fight's in MMA history .

2 complete phenom's in terms of athletic ability up @HW , complete striker vs grappler who can do a bit of both :good

This post nicely captures the excitement that I too feel about this fight. It's going to be brilliant.

This. Genuine 50/50 fights as both are still prospects. For my money though im going with Cain. The way JDS struggled with Nelson surprised me and i think that fight is somewhat of a barometer against Cain. Cain has a decent chin and great CV. I think he wrestles the crap out of JDS on the mat and pounds out a hard fought decision. There's no way he'll stay on his feet.
