i think he upset the muslim community in sydney didnt he? as well as every other boxer he trained. he ruined them all. hall of famer, but a dead****, and cant steer fighters correctly.

I saw Jeff Fenech a couple of years ago and I asked him if he is still training. he said: yeah, I run everyday. True story.
i can differenticate between the achievements people make and their personalities. and just to set something right.... although i dont want to turn this into another anthony thread, he is a much more complex charactor than fenech ever was. but you might find it hard to believe i dont think he is a bad bloke. if fact i think he is really a good bloke, who has struggled with what it means to be an ambassador of your race, self promotion, religion, the son of a famous father, and showing people who he really is. put yourself in his shoes. imagine how he grew up, the people he hung around, knowing a gym since he could think, his view on being aboriginal from the inside out, who is father was and how he was veiwed by 'white people'. he became a RL star. a spectacular, sommersalting, try scoring genius. suddenly he had a stage. the lights were on him. he started talking like a fighter. footballers dont do that. he did, and st george suffered for it. soon he became the other dream he had, a boxer, a good one. mundine will never match the boxing achievements of fenech. but he will always be the better bloke. a more complex one, and misunderstood. but a genuine good bloke, when all is thought through. *fenech should have had mundines mouth. he could back it up. *anthony should have had fenechs humility. australia would have idolised him for it. .
