I don't think that Lacy is in a position where he can pull that off. He is no Mayweather.

I don't think he can do it like Mayweather. But he's not in any position to pull good money fights now so maybe he can stand aside and wait for a call. There are many good fighters who would like to make a move using him as an opponent and there's the opportunity to come back as the underdog and pull an upset. Something like Raul Marquez whose attempt at Kelly's MW title was laughable some time ago ( read Jim Bagg's article on the Ring) and until Lorenzo tried to use him to get the easy way to a title shot at Abraham. Lacy is too good a name and the SMW Division is too poor so that this news comes to be true.

I think that Lacy can't afford to "wait for a call" and beating JT would put him where he needs to be now. I understand what you are saying but it doesn't make sense.

Really sad about this but since he realises that this isn't going anywhere he's better off that way, wishing him the best.

If a fighter even mentions a mere whisper about the r word (retirement) he is finished mentally. Jermaine would be a handful for Jeff and i don't think honestly Jeff was more than a very hyped tank looking contender who got by on a long run of blast outs against lesser class fighters, and beat a lot more with his aura and notoriety than skills....

If Calzaghe wouldnt have beaten him that bad maybe he would have bounced back, plus the shoulder problems, plus the money problems
