That's fair enough Jeff, got to know when to say it's the right time. You've achieved far more than most and it's been fun following you since your comeback! Sure you've enjoyed it but lots of others will have as well, the campaign to get you in to Prizefighter etc was brilliant. At the least boxing is a demanding game, but moreover it can obviously be dangerous. You're switched on enough to know when enough is enough for you.
Yeah thanks no big deal, I'll still be postin here all the time I love boxing. Today was scary though - sick all night then I wake up in the morning expecting to be better and I'm spewing up bile. Horrible. I went to pick up my girl and as I'm driving I'm nearly passing out being sick. I sat down by my car and close my eyes and next thing I know I'm in an ambulance didn't pass out just wasnt with it. So I'm sat there trying to weigh up whether it's more then concussion and starting to feel what I think is pressure in my head. I get rushed through Romford hospital and as I'm being checked the nurse asks me 'what date and year is it?' I couldn't tell her- I could not for the life of me remember and I just started crying like a little kid at school getting the answer wrong. I had a cat scan and it came back fine - just severe concussion - its cleared up now to reveal a lovely chest infection but that drama today was terrible for my girl and family. Boxing is an awesome sport and annoyingly I'm ok at it - I've done some pretty awesome things in the gym that you'll never hear about but if I can't take a shot as well anymore im as well packing it in. All that aggro after two rounds with on paper a moderate puncher isn't normal. I hope u all had fun in my short comeback hopefully some better pros can follows lead now and involve you guys a lot more. Thank u
Jeff you're a legend mate :good , all the best for everything in the future! Theres always the offer from Pastry man!
Severe concussion ain't the walk in the park it sounds mate I've been there sitting in the ale house after a particularly heavy game of rugby with the back of my nut feeling to hand like a bag of big frozen sprouts , next thing my mate asked me if I was ok the red mist sorta **** and a wicked buzzing took over , the next thing I was in hospital nine hours later asking my Mrs what was going on . Glad your ok .
Good luck Jeff, I hope you go on to be a top trainer, at least you gave it another go and the Prizefighter knock down was a class highlight.
Jeff, massive props for taking the loss like a man, and posting here to keep everyone updated. Good luck with whatever you do next.
