I'm pretty shocked at that one, though I've got to say it appears to be an inspired choice. Brooks definitely won't take any **** and the Twitter/Facebook days are probably over.

The main thing is that he'll get the sparring. Over here every realistic sparring partner is a potential opponent down the line, something that won't be true over there.

Not a fan of Brooks as a trainer. Great guy though by all accounts.

Btw no trainer is gonna be able to make Jeffries a world beater. He's just not good enough.

Well I think I tend to agree,being a fellow Mackem it would be easy to say otherwise but if anything since his first couple of fights he's got worse.I've said on a previous thread he's going to get tagged.He just tries to blast guys out with no regard for defence,he had a great jab but that's gone and he has absolutely no inside game.I do think he is giving himself the best shot by getting out of Sunderland,he's always opening something up here and appearing in the local paper,to be fair to him he does support local causes but I don't know where he gets the time to train! He must be the most photographed bloke in the North East!
If Brooks can get him back to basics the tougher sparring over there might give him half a chance but I do fear he isn't going to make it.

 

Does it really matter, he is terrible beyond all belief.

 

Look at how he reacts at any constructive criticism No Mas, 2 posts on here and he'd scuttle straight back to the brown-nosers

Alright moving to the States but will he still be fighting in Sunderland and will his phone line be cut? Ooo ooo ooo and will he be stealing someone elses talent???

 

seen him as an amateur and he has got worse, he was more relaxed and let his right hand go better. his trainer will need to get his head out of the clouds and get back to the hard work needed.

 

Interesting choice and I hope it works out for him. Jefferies is probably on par with what McEwan was when he turned over so the USA treatment may do him good but I still doubt he could become more than a domestic contender.
