I don't think he's got brain damage. There was a media release stating that he spent a few days in hospital in Berlin after his fight with Abraham = pure BS! I went to see the fight and went back to Paris on sunday the 18th (the day after the fight) and Taylor and his family were on the same flight. I talked to the man very quickly and they were going to enjoy some time off in Paris. At MW he will have his hands full bc those young lions don't play...

Yeah, he hasn't had a brain bleed for almost two years now. That ought to be long enough......

whose his promoter for this comeback? i personally hate the idea of him fighting. met him before and he was very nice. talks to you like family, and that's why i do worry about his safety more than most fighters.

Many people have brain damage and it doesn't prevent them from living their lives and posting on esb, so why not?

With as many close and tough losses that Taylor has had, we should all be able to understand his comeback. The man was like 8 combined rounds of probably being considered right now P4P top 3 or maybe even #1. His resume itself is overall better than just about anyone fighting right now.

It's about wanting to see Jermaine enjoy his life and his winnings in peace. He risks far more than he stands to gain at this point.

These boxers have such a tough time letting go...

If Taylor sticks to ordinary opponents, he may be fine, but we all know his promo team will be looking to profit off his name again, therefore get him into a fight that might severely wreck him.....

Maybe so. Given the circumstances around his career though, and the fact that he's still in shape physically and at a relatively young age he couldn't leave the ring without any regrets.

I think that is the problem. Jermain isn't coming back to pick up scraps on undercards. He will want to be back at the top. If he goes through with it I wish him well and hope a bunch of us over reacted. That said, I knew when DiBella walked away it was bad news.

His comeback is a horrible idea, but it certainly isn't the first.

In order to sustain brain damage one has to have a brain to damage.

I don't have a problem with him fighting low level competition where he can still dominate those guys and not take much punishment. Lets him earn some money and some self respect back. Unfortunately, after beating 4 or 5 Nicklow's someone will dangle a million dollar offer to him so they can earn some hype off his name and that's where he may suffer some real damage. I hope he atleast stays at 168, cutting down to 160 make weaken him too much.
