Today, many Jewish people in America are private about their religion publicly. Back in the 30s-60s Jewish immigrants along with Irish, Italian, etc were more nationalistic. Today, there is more culture mixing and years of antisemitism in this country has made Jews more reserved and less likely to be public about their religion. There are many Jeewish boxers out there, but we just dont know it. They identify as Russian, Polish, or where ever their grandparents are from instead of by their religion.
