I just watched the video of the fight and have to say that Jhonny kicked ass and stopped Hasegawa in what looked like a Hasegawa victory.

Considering this who should Jhonny face next?

How about Gonzalez/Donaire@126. BTW I watched the fight live this morning and I don't think it was a one shot out of nowhere win for Gonzalez. Gonzalez was landing some good shots before that.

I like his style he looks good moving to 126-less weight drained.

I had it 2-1 for Hasegawa with Gonzalez looking sharper as funny as it sounds. Hasegawa was busier and somewhat controlling the fight, but Gonzalez wash hitting him with hard left hooks. I had the feeling that if anybody was going to get knocked out it was Hasegawa because he was stunned on a few occasions by the left hook.

Jhonny was definitely landing the better shots. Hozumi landed pretty much nothing of note. Man, I had wrote off Gonzalez but he seems to have a good amount left in the tank.

Jhonny Gonzales is one of my faves!! Very glad to see he's back on the winning track with another title. Although I don't think his fragile chin can take the heat from Lopez or Gamboa if he tries to unify.

To be honest I didn't understand this "Hasegawa was kicking ass, just like in the Montiel fight.....until" reaction.

Gonzalez was well in that fight, before the end, landing good shots.

The result was surprising, but not a complete shock. Gonzalez is a very big puncher and his confidence was probably boosted knowing that he beat the guy that KOd Hasegawa and he won his last 7 by ko. Punchers usually do better against guys that are fresh off a KO loss.

NO. He wasnt convincingly winning those rounds. Gonzales looked menacing each rounds.

    Why surprised?

Arum would never put Lopez or Gamboa in with Gonzalez not until they fight each other. Gonzalez could end a fight with either with one punch. And Not even saying anything bad about Lopez or Gamboa's chins Gonzalez just has that freaky wirey power and could end a fight with one shot anytime.
