I am not a fan of those abbreviations. I don't even know who JJW is.
    I know JMM though.

Jersey Joe Walcott. I think if they fight 100 times, the most common result is Walcott on points.

Both were inconsistent .. I like Joe's speed and power but it is hard for me to pick a guy who despite moments of brilliance is almost always know for fights he lost ... putting aside the third Charles fight ... then again, he was old even when he fought Louis so have to go w him ..

Oh, you are right, should have known that actually. :)
Hard to say who would win, but a prime Schmeling would probably be favored.

JJW would outbox his man convincingly over the distance. Altogether too versatile for Max.

    I'd expect Schmeling to win.

I'd expect Walcott to take a close-ish decision, but wouldn't bet on it. Schmeling was very capable of boxing well and/or landing a fight-altering right hand.

I like Walcott here, but both men were awkward to fight. Both had good power, although Walcott's more fluid movement could befuddle Schmeling. Walcott via SD
