JMM Appreciation Thread

Great fighter. Perfect punching form, and has stood the test of time. The heart he showed in his first fight with the Filipino inspired me too watch this sport religiously. This man demands universal respect.

 

Props to JMM for honoring his part on the agreed 144lb catchweight against Floyd.

 

Great fighter who could have achieved much more had he not been avoided early in his career and badly managed during most of it.

 

..And had he not lost the fights he lost.

Scoring is subjective, and that fight wasn't altogether clear cut. Neither were his losses to Freddie Norwood and Manny Pacquiao. I can sympathize with Juan about certain aspects of his career, but he should also be held accountable to a degree. Poor management and him being avoided are two reasons for him underachieving...in addition to him losing to fighters he shouldn't have lost too.

Where do I start with him? I love him like a peanut butter & chocolate lover may love reeses. That's a lot of love but what's not to love about the guy he fights with his all he loves the sport. There's never too much love.

Love him, though I had Pac up in the second fight, mostly due to the knockdown.

Mares could have followed his footsteps...Why Mares why? Oh well GBP has been messin up futures lately. I really hope Marquez leaves the sport in a good way and doesnt let his pride get in the way.
