1st time poster wanted to ask everyone why they think pacman will run right through Hatton. Pacman in 2 fights went life and death with JMM, is Hatton really that much worse than Marquez? I dont buy the fact that Manny has gotten that much better since the Marquez fight. I just think it looks that way because he fought David Diaz and ODH who are not the caliber of Marquez. Sorry if this topic has already been discussed, I just wanted to get all of your views.
welcome to esb. the manny version that fought marquez is already skilled enough IMO to beat ricky. all the diaz & hoya fight did was confirm that he still posses the speed & power with the additional weight along with improved footwork.

Pacman will beat Hatton..hatton cant box like JMM and boxing is what kept the JMM PAC fights close..i think pacman beats him but I say its closer than most ppl will think
I agree that Hatton can't box like Marquez but I think his mauling style plus the weight might be enough to get by the Pac monster
stylistically wise Pacman was ready for Hatton since the Barrera rematch, it was just a question of size and if Pacman could adjust to gaining a few more lbs, and he has.
Styles makes fights. Think Ali-Frazier-Foreman. IMO JMM is the best guy out there right now who has a chance of beating Pac, Hatton although not as good may not be much worse, don't posses the stylistic advantage that JMM did thus he will get beaten up bad. JMM strongest weapon is that cross that he really pushes through with thus catching Pac when moving back, Hatton has short arms and clubs, he has no defense for pac's straight crisp punches.
JMM is far more skilled than Hatton. JMM is a slick counter puncher with excellent foot work and movement. Hatton is a come straight forward fighter with limited movement.Hatton's advantage will be that he's naturally bigger and stonger than Pac. Night and day differences.
