Good fight but nowhere near FOTY. Kats knocked JMM down in the 3rd and was very competitive throughout the fight but it was too one-sided to be FOTY.

As an Aussie i've never been so proud of a fighter as i was for Katsidis tonight.... reminded me of Troy Waters knocking down Terry Norris back in 1993 when Norris was P4P no 2 or 3 in the world.

When Larry Merchant talked about his brother in the after fight interview, i had to leave my mates room and pretended i was taking a **** because of my tears.

Mundine and Danny Green hold your heads in shame.

That interview was a bit naughty of Merchant, Kats was nearly crying the question before and Larry just pressed the right button for the camera on the next question to push Katisdis over the edge.

I guess this fight makes JMM vs. Mitchell a natural for next year?

It's the sort of thing that makes boxers stars. Merchant knows that, I think. It wasn't way too much - he left it till the end. It was part of the story, and Larry had set it our right at the beginning.

I'm not sure who else is there for Katsidis to beat. He could probably beat someone like Soto.

Marquez is such an awesome boxer, really great to watch.

That left that kats put marquez down in the 3rd was a quality shot.

Katsidis wasn't far off. Fought well, he had his big chance in Rd 3. I had the feeling leading up to this fight he'd have a big moment that he'd have to take but he didn't quite manage it. He followed up well and recognized the moment but he didn't land a great shot, Marquez used his experience well.

Katsidis has had 'what might have been' moments in both his big US fights.
