It is fairly obvious that Marquez doesn't have the body type to move up further than 135. Pacquiao's freakish ability to assimilate his body to higher weights doesn't make him better in boxing ability than Marquez, just bigger and more of an athlete. There is a giant difference.

Floyd last fought at lightweight about six years ago. JMM last fought at lightweight about six months ago. Floyd moved up from lightweight in his mid twenties. JMM moved up from lightweight in his mid thirties.

If you don't see the difference, then there's no use discussing it.

Marquez was too small, that's why Void wanted that fight.

It's simply a case of a great small man, getting beaten by an even greater bigger man. Marquez isn't overrated.

2003 was his last fight at 135 one year spent at 140 two years spent away from boxing. None of that changes the fact that floyd started as a super feather and JMM as a feather, the fight would have been the same outcome had it happened in 2000 or 2001, and the same excuses would have been used. It was the same excuse that was used when floyd fought Hatton at 147, when in fact Hatton was the guy that started at the higher weight. When it comes to Floyd you cats will always come up with an excuse...funny part is many of you make the excuses on both sides. Example, No one was saying that Floyd was too small to fight Oscar at 154, instead they claimed that he was handpicking Oscar because he was shot. No one said that Floyd signed to fight the UNDISPUTED welterweight Champion in his second fight at 147 in Judah Pre Baldo. I dont recall people saying that Judah was picking on the best lightweight in the world. Its all bull****, and as I have said many times NO matter who he fights there will be excuses. Williams if they fight at 147 will be weight drained, Mosley will be too old, Cotto too beat up, pac too small. I know those things will be said because they are already being said. When Berto's name came up it was berto isnt a viable guy for Floyd to fight, yet he would be viable for any other welterweight.

Worst part is the people saying that stuff really believes its.

Why people even bother to respond to trash like this is beyond me.......

    ....but I'll give it a try.

Listen Bozo.....JMM jumping up to face Mayweather would be the equivalent of Mayweather juming up all the way to middleweight to face Paul Williams.....

.......now if Mayweather ever makes a jump to middleweight to fight Paul Williams, you make sure to get back to us so that you can validify your worthless post!

He was a great feather/super feather/lightweight - he's not a welterweight. Floyd knew he wouldn't have a chance that high. It was a bullying match.

But pacs opponents are called shot after pac demolish them...

The difference between pac and floyd, pac demolish and destroy his opponents while floyd dance and potshot his opponents for 12rnds...:deal
