finally the most overated trainer joe gallagher, has had his style exposed!!! he's turning skilfull boxers into brawlers an there all gettin found out!!!! john murray has left him an so will a few others now i bet!! when you talk the talk you got to walk the walk!!!!!

As has been mentioned before, he has a fair size gym/camp and is gonna get stretched...... All the best to him but Crolla fighting on his own etc is just the start of it i reckon......hope not.
John Murray hasnt left and a bit harsh considering what hes done with his fighters smith and murray didnt listen to gallagher in there fights and macklin was robbed. If Scott Quigg loses againts Jason Booth though i may start to believe this thread a bit more.Will you still be saying it if smith beats groves which could happen.
this. he cant train that many people and have them all satisfied with the amount of time hes spending with them. Really dont understand the hate he gets on this forum when his fighters lose its him being "exposed" but when Macklin almost beat sturm in a fight he was given very little chance in where was his praise? i cant comment too much on Gallaghers style but all his fighters seem to lack the basic boxing skills, as in, jab and move!! Macklin is an ex ABA winner, yet he now brawls, and imo, smothers his own work Steven and Paul Smith id say the same, they seem to have abandoned the basics. i watch boxing with my brother, and we both like to think we know a few things about boxing. but all of Gallaghers fighters seem like they want to copy Ricky Hattons style, yet the problem they find is that when they jump inside of their opponents, they simply dont know what to do. oh, and they all seem to have adopted the Rocky defense, as in they use their face to block punches
Many of his fighters seem to be adopting the same style which is fight behind a tight full guard and use steady pressure to break opponents down. I think Joe Murray's boxing nice enough and has the look of Ricky Hatton in his early days without the real stopping power. I did notice it myself i suppose because you watch 3 of his fighters in the same night back to back. Joe seems to be a man of basics and really boxing shouldn't be to complicated but at the same time i'd like to see a bit more variation in the fighters work. I said for years Murray needed to develop his jab and also work on his defensive skills if he wanted to fight at world class level with success. Joe's done really well so far and remember he's not that old in the Boxing training world and a lot of this is a learning curve to him.
Great post agree completely. The thing is with some of them it seems to be working really well but thats not always going to be the case, theres no one size fits all boxing style. I just feel most of these attacks against Joe G are personal and he cant win.
Yeah that's the way i view it as well mate. Joe posted here for a while and responded to a few of my posts well so i can't knock the guy he seemed nice enough to me.
