I know he seems to have his haters on here but credit to Joe Gallagher. I thought his corner advice in Jonas Harper fight was excellent. He was right in build up too, Harper hits fresh air and gloves alot. He got Jonas in top form physically, technical. Who as i mentioned in main thread should have got win. I have criticed him in the past on here for his cormer advice, but i like to be fair amd objective.

No doubt he's a decent trainer, he's just not very likeable.

A good trainer gets it right most of the time but in big fights he gets it right some of the time the success he gets is mostly to do with the talent he use to have in the gym. Good trainer not great trainer imo

I dont think anyone can argue that Joe is a decent trainer, especially with the number of decent boxers he has trained . That said its just the way he conducts himself sometimes.

He's a dickhead. Decent enough trainer but loves the camera and talks far too much. He should stay in his lane.

I actually think he does what Dominic Ingle somtimes does; draw the pressure and focus away from their fighter by trash talking, especially when their fighter isn't a trash talker themselves

What's really irritating me with Gallagher is he is scomplaining (boxing social) about the Harper Vs Jonas result and the outside influences and Sky fighters getting the nod and how they hype certain fighters.. saying he hasn't seen the official scorecards.. implying (in my opinion) something dodgy might have happened.

Now HE wants the rematch on the Joshua card, OK Joe, probably the biggest card of the year and you want your fighter on it, I'm shocked LOL.

CALLUM SMITH VS JOHN RYDER.. ANYBODY? ANYBODY?

Callum Smith in my honest opinion lost to Ryder, he was beaten, Sky were up Smiths backside before, during and after the fight, they still are.

I didn't see Gallagher complaining then, I don't see Gallagher insisting on Ryder getting a rematch now.

He is a hypocritical moby, this is why he is disliked, he whines and moans and is rarely consistent.

Like I said in another thread I think he plays on the character of being a ****! But then I watched the match room behind the scenes thing and he didn’t come across well at all! Hard one but I don’t think he is some elite boxing guru, but you could a lot worst then have Joe Gallagher steering your career

I wouldn't want to train with him, mainly just because I want to learn how to move my head.

I'd have him in the corner though, he's usually honest scoring a fight and telling his fighters where they are, probably a motivation thing for them also.

For the most part he's willing to protect his fighters.
