What next for Joe Joyce? No fight since Takam in July and no fight announced.

I know he was waiting for a potential Fury fight and WBO mandatory but they’re still a long way. When Usyk/Joshua wins they’ll be granted an opportunity for undisputed. Fury is fighting his mandatory in Whyte so he won’t be obliged to do anything either.

So where does Joe go? He’s 36 he needs to get big fights now.

Wilder, Hunter or Gassiev or someone?

On a side note Sam Jones has left S-Jam boxing (and Joyce) to join Probellum.

Tricky situation for him at his age.

Gassiev isn't well known and if he loses his world title ambitions are pretty much done. Same with fighting people like Yoka - people in boxing know Yoka but it's a tough sell to the casual market and it's a long way back if he loses.

Has to try and get the balance between fighting winnable but well known names until a title shot. Takam was a good one because of his fights with AJ and Chisora.

Which leads me on to the next option. Chisora / Parker winner in May/June?

Warren said he is fighting in February - also said the same for Dubois - they way he worded it, sounded like he is planning a double header.

If that’s the case, both opponents will be dog muck, as that will cost a serious amount to pay them both.

Must be hard to match him. Honestly can't see how anyone beats him he's a wrecking machine.

Sam Jones did a very good job in keeping Joe Joyce's profile high, like him or hate him he was very good for Joe at press conferences, interviews etc.

I just hope he gets whatever shot he can at a world title very soon because for him to have to retire and not have that would be criminal.

He's ten times better than a lot of recent world title challengers.

Parker Chisora winner and then he needs Whyte, Wilder, AJ, Ruiz, Fury for me.
If he get it that's a whole other ball game but for me he's the best of the rest.
He'd beat Whyte for me. Wilder is 50/50 great power V great chin. Wilder maybe calling it quits. Ruiz i'd give him a slight edge over but close fight on paper. Fury probably beats him but other than Usyk i thin Fury beats all this generation.
His age is the problem. if he was 32 I could see him snatching a world title even if only a fringe one but at the mo with Fury facing Whyte most likely and then Usyk probably needing a year to get Fury or AJ rematch out the way he could be knocking 38 by then and nothing lasts forever eventually someone will crack him and his resistance won't be there.

I feel like Dubois and Joyce are in the same boat. Both re-signed with Warren for good money but he can’t currently afford to pay them.

At 36 Joyce needs the big profile fights , I feel a bit sorry for him very capable and could probably beat all but 2/3 of top heavyweights but unfortunately brings nothing to the party in terms of appeal/fans/Revenue.

Maybe Hunter or Hrgovic? As already mentioned preferably he gets the winner of the Parker - Chisora fight.

He's just in a shite situation isn't he?

Joyce is unfortunately (for him) a real enigma.

Ageing at 36 even for a HW, but with a short professional career and very few miles on the clock. I don't think he has ever been hurt in a fight, let alone in any real trouble.

He's an absolute beast physically, can go 12 rounds at pace, heavy handed, has a great, hard jab and his chin is rock solid. Round 2-3 before Daniels eye was affected he hit Joe which a few huge right hands and did not even budge him. Whatever you think of Dubois, he's undoubtedly a puncher.

He's awkward and shy in front of camera, not a self promoter, yet would beat most heavyweights out there not named Fury or Usyk. Even those two he would cause huge problems for.

All he can do is go the mandatory route, and be patient. No champion is going to offer him a shot that's for sure. In the mean time he has to take whatever he can get in terms of winnable but decent keep busy fights. He won't get offered a great deal of those so unfortunately he can't be too picky if he wants to stay active.

Chisora is not interested at all. It's a tough one for Joyce. No one really wants to fight him.

He's fresh for 36, probably won't peak for a couple of years, but he's going to have to wait till then to get a title fight as I assume Usyk Fury will fight twice once they have dealt with Joshua and Whyte so that puts him into 2023. He essentially has 18 months to get into pole position and needs to fight at least three times for me. There are a few other strong unbeaten prospects out there aside from warhorses like Chisora and Parker, so beating one of them is a must to speed up his case.
