    There was pleanty of trouble in that era if you knew where to look for it!

    Of the fighters you listed, I would be inclined to name Murray with Tomphson coming second.

    Whichever one was fortune enough to challenge him after the war.

    Otherwise, I'd expect a prime Louis to beat any of them without too much difficulty.

    Bivins has the best chance to outbox him and Murray has the best chance to knock him out. I don't think either result would happen, though. I picked Murray. He was a switchhitter (ala Marvin Hagler) so it would be interesting to see how Joe would handle that. Plus he was tall, rangy, had a great jab, good skills and crippling power.

    All in all, Lee Q. Murray is the most dangerous proposition, imo.
