    I noticed that Mesi's speech was slurred prior to that Jirov fight and assumed he was brain damaged already. Wondered why no one close to him had brought it to his attention or whether or not he hadn't noticed it himself.
    Meldrick Taylor displayed the same slurred speech prior to his fight with Chavez. Ken Norton after his debacle with Jerry Cooney. Not a good sign.
