D'awwwh, that's adorable. GSP's like a big kid. Nice to see him learning more, it's weird to see him learning from the UFC commentator though. But ****, can Joe Rogan kick. He's been doing it for over twenty year.
Yeah, baby! That's my ****! TKD! All the way...for that one kick and maybe a few others while at the same time knowing that 98% of it will do nothing but assist in getting my ass kicked so I dropped it after receiving by black belt and took up Muay Thai in which I got my ass whooped by my instructor, which he may or may not still have the picture of my bloody face and knuckles.
GSP pisses me off sometimes but its true. He is so humble that he will never stop learning and getting better. Its weird too hearing the word "****" out of his mouth haha.
Yeah we see a lot of GSP with his preset answers and pure politeness on TV, in an interview or in press conferences. But GSP seen naturally is just a really laid back guy that just swears as much as anyone (in french too). It's just not the image he wants to portray in front of the wide audience. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HO1-Yd8cMU[/ame] Also funny how the multiple french canadian swears all translate to f*ck or f*cking, P.S.: Amazing kicks by Rogan, if there's one thing he can teach GSP that's the one.
in mma, there is a system/willingness to learn from each other and improve. ego's are not the same. in boxing, you don't get that as much. morons like james toney and floyd mayweather would just pull rank instad of have a constructive discussion about how they could improve. this sees ALOT of boxers never improve, never learn and stay stuck in their ways.
I think Joe would have hurt Wesley Snipes badly if that fight went ahead. But it'd true thought, GSP willingness to learn makes him the best. Im sure he's got an ego, who wouldnt. But can you imagine if Jim Lampley told Floyd Mayweather he was doing something wrong
MMA is still a developing sport. We still haven't seen the generation that's been raised in MMA training yet. GSP is a trail blazer, but in a few years, this will be standard for all good MMA fighters.
rogan knows his ****, one thing a black beld in TKD can teach you is kicks! even if you didn't think that, you just need to watch the video to see how heavy and explosive some of rogans kicks are in comparison to GSP and how he is tweaking GSP's technique but they are quite major tweaks.
its a great technique approach and he always uses rangey kicks to great effect. i'm intrigued to see if gsp will batter shields standing or if he won't be scared of the grappling.
