i cant see any big boxers signing with joe.if he cant even get maccarinelli to sign for him he has little chance of anything else. the only promoting he has done has been in local leisure centres. (other than his own fight). i hope it turns around for him,but can not see it imo.
That sounds a bit...out there I think Kessler needs an established promoter on the world stage at this point. One that has the resources and know how to make big fights.
True. I like Joe and I think he has everything needed to make a good promoter - except experience - and that is very important. For now Kessler needs an experienced major promoter.
Not the best possible idea based on the promotional work (non-existent) for the Calzaghe-Jones fight. Kessler is clearly belongs to the P4P list, has the skills to crack in with a few big wins, but the SMW division is so international and so many big promoters and networks are involved that only a huge promotional company could make Kessler the best possibly fights. That's Golden Boy Promotions. Even Sauerland Event is not big enough to promote Kessler in the US, vs. the likes of Taylor, Hopkins or Roy Jones. So Calzaghe, while he's a cool guy and has some connections on both sides of the Atlantic, is absolutely not in the position to negotiate those kind of deals Kessler needs.
Wow! Dream match. They are genuine friends, you could even see it the day before their fight. Perfect for Kessler as his career is running to a halt, **** knows why as he is a talented fighter who could clean up the division. I think Joe has the motivation and desire to make him big, he knows how god he is, by far his hardest fight. Lets hope this happens. Dunno why someone said ‘he cant even sign Enzo’, he has a contract with Fish Eyes, plain and simple, and he definitely does no have the money to walk out on him and pursue the courts.
