    I have always had the highest of opinions about the skill and boxing ability ofJoey Giardello.

    I am not sure I have him in my top ten. But that is only because there are so many great MWs to choose from down the years. But I am sure that if I make such a list, he will be only a few notches away from no. 10.

    Takes nothing away from Joey.

    Joey Giardello was a very good fighter,no doubt. But now he is overated,when a Freddie Steele is not even talked about top 10-15..Freddie Steele at his best would have whipped the likes of Giardello and the brutish Gene Fullmer, in following weeks, I fervently believe...
    Just watch Steele on youtube...A great boxer puncher was he !...

    Steele was superb, one of the best Middleweight boxer-punchers on film, I'm fairly sure El Buija is a big admirer of his.
