andrei kudriavtsev has withdrawn from the european belt title fight leaving murray vs mcallister to fight for it according to the scene. It also says its 25 weeks since murray has fought. This is really poor mangement of murray, his eliminator is gone, he turned down the shobox opportunity and now he has to stagnate further while this mess is sorted out. I know everyone keeps saying it but kevin mitchell has had the career murray should have had in the last year at lightweight.
If McCallister goes in in the right frame of mind and taking it seriously then this fight could be close

feel sorry for murray. as he says in the article in todays MEN, he can't earn whilst he's inactive. He's had two fighters pull out on him - really he should have been fighting for the euro title 3 months ago. also he has had to watch kevin mitchell leapfrog him and earn a shot at a world title. he's now looking for a quick defence of his british title against gethin to win the lonsdale belt outright.
murray must realise by now that people who were behind him in terms of progression are now overtaking him in their careers, i.e kevin mitchell. 2 fights a year, **** me. Warren would keep him busy
Mitchell has leapfrogged Murray career wise in 6 months and two fights. One against a guy he was potentially gonna face and then against a guy he stopped a long while ago. Things in boxing can change very quickly hopefully good things will come the lads way soon.
The first fight was close up until the stoppage and McAlister was spending most of his time showboating. Could be a good fight but I think Murrays body work will get McAlister out of there late on.
He doesn't have much personality, that's one of his problems, fails to capture the imagination of the public.
