Cracking interview with John Murray on BBTV if anyone is interested. John was a ferocious fighter and a great watch. Sadly, he is blind in one eye, due to boxing injuries.
    Great interview.

    Warrior. Loved watching that guy.

Should have probably have won a world title if he had been promoted/managed better.

Loved John on the domestic scene.

The Rios fight was sickening tho. One of those nights when it all goes against you but its hard to disengage and you pay a heavy price.

Terrific hard fighter, far too gutsy for his own good.

Didn't know about his eye, poor fella.

Great on the domestic scene, Rios fight was brutal

Oh yeah. Kev was spectacular that night.

I liked Joe Murray too. Very entertaining fighters.

Never now about his eye. He was super game, but was let down in the Rio's fight. I wish him all the best moving forward.

Remember that fight well. Always thought if Kevin 'lived the life' and boxed the same way he did that night he would have had a much better career.

John was a great fighter back in the day, absolute war with Mitchell and handled McAllister pretty easily on the British scene stopping him with a body shot if I remember rightly.

Brandon Rios was a monster in the lighter weights, gave Murray a beating that night. He can be proud of what he achieved for sure.

I remember McAllister made him look a bit basic for the first 3 rounds or so but then Murray took over with his strength and made McAllister fold.

Always a good watch John, and a beast physically at british level, just not enough to get to next stage. Good career though

Lacked in several areas. But what he had, he had in abundance. Fun to watch. Horrible to hear about the eye.

Should have done better. Good fighter john. Think there was always talk of liking the drink a bit too much. Seemed to go backwards a bit half way through his career.

brilliant exciting beast of a fighter but with his style of fighting his prime wasn't gonna be long. Plus he didn't live the life outside the ring.

he got to WBC number 1 and high up in other organisations too, all he had to do was wait to become mandatory , it was when DeMarco was champ. He'd have beat him.

But he'd just signed with Warren, and Warren pushed for the Mitchell fight..so Mitchell could jump him in the rankings. Mitchell was warrrens favourite at the time.
