Really frustrating fighter because you see a guy who has the physical stature to trouble guys at his weight and likes a fight and does have ability no doubting that but for all his boxing experience seems to lack understanding. Such as his lazy jab that is a major hindrance to him. His stock won't be helped by Watson losing two on trot. I felt Watson would push onto European level and that would help John mentally. He's not got nothing lined up on Boxrec which isn't a surprise he's hardly most active fighter which is a reason why he's not pushed on. I think a good deal of Gym work developing his tools would be needed and maybe then let him fight on a few small hall shows get a few bouts in and then chuck him in with Vassell/Purdy if poss.
Well he and his pro cousin Simon are both on the Boxing Ireland footie team for two weeks time in Canvey and I'll do an interview with him then.
