Johnson vs Beterbiev

Can see this being over in 3 rounds

 

Whoever lands the first meaningful dig will win this one. Both can bang hard. Beterbiev isn't too hard to hit and quite slow-handed so there will be opportunities for Johnson on the night. Looking forward to this one. Shame the rest of the card is quite pish.

 

I have had one of my boxing premonitions regarding this fight and i am convinced Johnson sparks him out with a massive left hook

 

Gutted for Johnson there. But he can be proud of himsef after his performance. Beterbiev was feeling the effect of the punches when Johnson was landing. I was up out of my seat, cheering when Johnson decked him. He gave Beterbiev a serious fight but the better man won at the end of the day. Hope Johnson can work his way to another title shot, but at 33, time is against him. Huge heart, huge balls and seems like a very decent guy. Credit to Beterbiev as well. He deserves his fearsome reputation. Would love to see him in against one of the other champions next.

Johnson started well being the aggressor but gets dropped in the 1st, then in the 2nd Johnson drops beterbiev and has a minute still to try and finish him but doesn’t bother then in the 3rd Johnson’s getting caught a lot more coming in and is cut and looking a bit groggy and then in the 4th gets dropped and fails to get up for the 10 count.

It was a good effort but he was reckless coming forward and should’ve at least tried to jump on beterbiev after he dropped him, oh well

 

Johnson did far better than expected and put up a good fight.

 

A very valiant effort by Johnson, but he was always going to get stopped early.

He needed to go in for the kill after flooring him. Whilst he was very reckless in his approach, it was quite clear early on that Beterbiev had an excellent jab and was hammering him with it. He’d have been outboxed over the stretch so that was probably his best chance to go out swinging. Fun fight.

 

Cracking short left hook on the inside from Johnson, good effort. Beterbiev just too strong

I know what you mean tho, iv done that myself...You get a feeling for a certain outcome, which in the end doesn't transpire.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking.
