Mine would be of him making a valiant stand against the much ballyhooed Dan Dancuta in Moline (?) or some such sh*thole before succumbing to a questionable stoppage. Those were heady times and much was thought of the young man's potential.
So much potential; but went for the money of the Heavyweights when a stellar career at Light Heavy/Cruiser awaited. I guess going the distance with Mathis got him and his team a bit too excited.
