Jose Benavidez - hot prospect

    17yr old fighter who'll turn pro later this month. He's been training with Freddie Roach for a while and has signed with Top Rank. Freddie says Benavidez is his best prospect. He's 6ft and is around 140lbs atm.

    Freddie Roach:
    "He spars with Amir Khan and they're dead even"

    In today's Boxing News, Ron Lewis of The Times says he saw Khan spar Benavidez and the youngster came out on top.

    Jose has also sparred, and according to some, held his own with Tim Bradley.
