That is rubbish mate. Josh Leather's amateur record was something like won 15 lost 15 at one point and then he went on to win about 21 or 22 of his last 25 amateur bouts. My mate only has an amateur record of 16 wins against 14 losses and he beat Leather about 2-3 years ago. Henry Thomas I believe had an amateur record of 60 wins against 6 defeats and his only stoppage defeat was to Leather which was the 2011/2012 season when Leather won the ABA's. Josh Leather only got to the quarters of the ABA's last year (still mint) and although he was meant to be unlucky in that round, many felt he was lucky in the earlier round. I was at last years ABA finals and Jeff Saunders won that weight category. Josh Leather is a great boxer but he never won the GB championships. I believe he won the CYP's and ABA's. He certainly never had an amateur record of 62-5.
records mean crap in amateur boxing, he has an amateur style, and a mexican half his size would wipe the floor with him, he will go a decent way if he's a good draw, as he'll be protected, but in general theres a country full of strait up hoppers and slappers just like him, but goodluck to him, you never know.:bbb
Josh is due to come to the Hatton gym in a couple of weeks to do a few rounds with Ricky and the lads. Should be good experience for him.

Decent boxer seen him on a few amateur shows but world champion? I doubt it. I think Josh Kelly is a better prospect.
