Joshua Miller Tactics

If Joshua chooses to let his hands go, he wins the fight when and how he wants IMO.

I'm another who doesn't get why Joshua is labelled as chinny. He got dropped off Klitschko, huge puncher that he is, and got up, survived and went onto get the stoppage win. And he was wobbled by Whyte momentarily, and?? No sweat, and came back and KO'd him viciously. So can somebody put up a good case of how he's chinny?

 

Joshua will start cautiously, keep Miller at the end of his jab and try and avoid the early pressure. Once he finds him out after 3/4 rounds he will let his hands go and I know nobody likes to give him credit but he’s one of the best finishers in the game - across all weight levels. I hope he knocks Miller clean out on his back but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him stopped on his feet after 5 or 6.

 

Wilder fought Fury, thinking he was a recovering alcoholic/ drug addict, suicidal manic depressive who would offer about as much of a challenge as Charlie Z, in other words, a blatant cherry pick. The fact that Fury out boxed and out fought Wilder for 10 of 12 rounds after a 2 1/2 yr after party and 6 months in fat camp, is more an indicator of how utterly ****ing useless Wilder is at boxing. Just saying like.

And quite how 12.5, 15, 40% split, and subsequent 80 million dollars for a 2 fight deal with wilder having home advantage in the first fight is low ball, I have no idea. Prior to fighting Fury, Wilders biggest purse was 2.5 million and then he goes and loses to Fury, getting a gift decision and a guaranteed 4 million with an upside.

If I was in AJ's position, I'd offer Wilder 30% split, take it or leave it, I'll pick up that WBC belt off the cherry pick that does go wrong for you down the line.

 

AJ needs to box aggressively and the KO will come as Millers only chance is to throw big bombs.

 

From what I’ve seen of Miller he’s simply not very good, he’s not of Joshua’s level.
Joshua should have him out of there before half way.
If Miller proves to be durable and manages to take Joshua’s shots then as long as Joshua paces himself he should be able eke out a lop sided beat down on points.

 

Think at that level all HW's are 'chinny' ! Joshua, Wilder, Fury, Whyte.... Everyone of them apart from Dave Allen obviously !

That's what makes the division so exciting.

 

This is going to be like the Pov fight, only Miller will land 1/5th of the effective punches Pov did. Miller has AJ stoppage victim written all over him.

Expect a few commentator enhanced "nervewracking" moments early doors as Miller comes in swinging, but Joshua to hurt him early and stymie the offensive spirit of Miller. Miller will then just be on the receiving end of a picking apart target practice before being stopped mid-late rounds.

Nothing Miller can do is better than what others have tried and failed thus far. I don't GAF about his "conditioning", you can be the fittest fat man, ever, you're still gunna double up when getting smashed by uppercuts on the way in.

 

AJ just needs to stay composed and work off the jab, the ko will come probably via body shot. Miller is very very hitable

Miller is limited and should just go for it, chase AJ down and throw the kitchen sink at him, you never know he could catch him off guard and the big American debut may freeze AJ a bit

Wouldn’t surprise me if we get all the big talk again after the fight from AJ, wilder and fury and they all fight someone else again

I can see whyte fighting wilder, AJ vs pulev and fury vs charr

 

TBF, Whyte Wilder would be a decent scrap.

 

It is very hard to make a case for Miller. He is jumping up two levels and Joshua continues to improve. Miller's style appears all wrong for this fight too.

I believe AJ can win anyway he likes. For the US market however he will probably look to make a huge KO statement and Miller will know this going into the fight and can therefore try to exploit potential openings.

Miller really needs to make AJ tire as early as possible. And himself demonstrate an amazing chin. Problem is I think AJ has been fine tuning his pacing since the Klit fight and may now have the formula just about right for himself in terms of aggression, punch output, ring generalship etc. There is also this second wind/ overdrive he seems able to tap into for the championship rounds or when allowed to recover.

 

AJ's mandatories will be coming, which can only be stalled for so long. Think WBO is up next. Usyk?

 

I think he has to go swinging early.

AJ was very very tense against Povetkin for first 3 and a bit rounds and Povetkin was only a whisker away at times from landing some huge shots on Joshua. Povetkin of a few years ago would of been landing them.

I think it's more then possible AJ might be the same again, especially as this is his American debut, fighting away from home.

So I think that's his best chance, see if he can catch AJ early if he's tense and possibly try catch him cold.

As soon as AJ relaxes he's going to take over you'd think.

 

I think it's IBF (Pulev) first, then WBO where Usyk can jump to the head of the line if he chooses.

 

I think it would be a beautiful and nasty mess, Whyte would turn it into a brawl and I think there'd be a lot of blood
