Personally I think Price/Whyte but I voted Price, everyone on the poll is a rumoured opponent apart from Wach, just threw him in there as I think he'd be the best test for Joshua at this moment in time, he can bang, very durable & is taller than Joshua, so Joshua could answer 3 questions in one night.
In all honesty, I think it might be Chisora, who is no sort of test at all these days. But I think Pulev would be the best choice. Interesting fight.
Current Chisora is probably the worst opponent on the list, but could be worse I suppose, I'd just be happy for it to be anyone on this list & not a short notice euro journeyman which we will probably see in July. Pulev would be a great fight coming off his loss to Wlad, but would propel Joshua into World title contention a bit too soon for my liking.
I'd like it to be Whyte for the British title. Sounds like it might be Price though which will be dangerous because Price has power. What's Chisora's promotional situation? Isn't he still with Frank? Would probably be the easiest fight on there.
Both great fights & both British title worthy imo, Joshua already won a final eliminator & Price is an ex champ who vacated. As far as I know Chisora is still with Frank.
I don't think Price is the right opponent - it would likely be a short fight no matter what, so what would Joshua gain from it? Either he knocks out a guy with a suspect chin or he gets laid out himself - there's no upside for him. I'm not that knowledgeable, but somebody mentioned Wach as being big, durable and hard hitting - sounds like a good test.
Tony Thompson would be the toughest fight for him but won't be made for September. Hopefully its Dillian Whyte so Joshua can put him in his place.
Irineu Beato "El Negro Tey" Costa Junior is one of the "biggest" names out there in the division... But I guess it will be one that has his best days behind him like Chisora
I would sc rap Price, Fury, Whyte, Chisora off the list. Price is one dimensional and not durable, the only person this fight benefits is Hearn because of the money spin. I wouldn't like to see Chisora either, he would get badly hurt and again Josh learns nothing. Fury and Whyte should fight each other, that is a much more competitive fight. I would be happy with Thompson for his next fight, Hearn has mentioned him, Charr, Arreola and Solis. I really don't think there is much between the last 3 and don't think any are a fight he would gain from. He would learn from Thompson and probably get to round 5. Chambers or Cunningham would be good opponents as they are skilled and elusive, something he needs to deal with, and would almost certainly land. Cunningham would give him a good work out for 6 rounds I reckon and we have seen that overhand right. If not Thompson or one of the small fast fighters I would go for tall, durable but basic guy so Ustinov or Wach. Of the two Ustinov is the easier fight and more realistic, think Josh stops him in 5 but Wach would be a real challenge and a fight I'd like to see soon. Suppose you could put the winner of the Price Gerber fight in for the European strap but either one is easy work.
