I have the feeling this fight is gonna get made towards the end of the year. Hearn probably thinks there is not much chance of AJ getting KO'd by Fury, so even if he were t lose on points to Fury then it would be easy to make a rematch and make alot of money all over again. I dont think the AJ project would suffer as much from a points defeat against an awkward opponent as it would from a devestating KO. Although people think AJ isnt ready for Fury yet, the question is except for Klitscho, who on Fury's resume would Joshua not beat? Why does he have to wait 2 years? Could he not stop Fury now? As i said as there isnt as high a chance Joshua could get brutually KO'd (a possibility against Wilder/Haye) i think it would be a calculated risk to fight Fury in november and have a chance at unifying the division so early in his career. Does any one agree
This is a stadium fight. Can't happen this summer due to Fury rematch so earliest it would be is about May after the football season. 2 or 3 testing fights for Joshua before the Fury fight. I think he can beat Fury but still at this stage we don't know enough about him at the absolute highest level.
I think Joshua is as ready for Fury as he ever will be. Fury can be knocked out, that's all joshua is gonna look for. As good as fury is at getting out the way and moving he's only human an will always be open for a right hand at some point. All depends how he can deal with being rocked. I don't think joshua needs to worry to much about a single knock out punch
Problem is getting a decent opponent who can test him, I hope and pray that the rumours of Malik Scott in July are untrue, I think Stiverne would be a good shout. Then the mandatory against Takam/Parker. then the Unification against Fury next summer, really don't think that Fury KO's Joshua, will be the same tactics as against Klit, but can he stay away from that sledgehammer right hand. that been said it will an intriguing year in the HW division (finally)
I'm confused why anyone thinks Klitchko = Joshua. Fury beating Klitchko is one thing but Vladimir is gun shy and Joshua wouldn't hold back on throwing that right hand.
Agreed, it should be held at a wembley or old trafford, I just feel Hearn would take the plunge and hold it at an o2 or MEN because of the unprecedented amount of PPV numbers it would do. I think the haye fight is the 2017 wembley sell out, providing Joshua keeps winning and haye beats some better opposition
They'll save this for Wembley next summer. I can't see Joshua or Fury losing before then. Hearn will match Joshua carefully.
Everyone saying AJ going to walk through Fury and how he'll take him in 4 blah blah. What about the stuff coming back? AJs footwork isnt great, he gasses after a few rounds and Whyte wobbled him with a cuff. Fury is leagues above anything AJ has fought so far. And what about that chin? All unknowns.
Jesus Sky have brainwashed some of you! Charles Martin was the worst holder of a heavyweight world title I have EVER seen. Joshua has done nothing to prove he could beat a well rounded world class pro like Fury.
I agree. Remember Frank will likely have options over Fury TV wise which could total three fights. Wembley is really the only option unless they can find a bigger venue (unlikely).
