Two weight world champions are not bums. Chisora was down to fight Wlad after 13 fights, so what? What's the rush? This is the whole problem. Fighters, Price being the prime example as I mentioned in my last post, are being moved along wrong. Joshua is very very young for a HW, he has years in him. Get him the right learning fights at the right time and dont rush him. Then he'll reap the awards. Jump in the deep end to soon and it could **** everything up. Joshua has had 7 fights so far, no way on earth would he be ready for Wlad in 6 more fights.
He is currently following the David Price path learning nothing against punchbags and will be found out as there is no test at all even if he fights 30 of these fighters. Wlad will be gone in 2 years so he needs to get the finger out as he at best will be known as the Champ in a significantly worse era than the Klitschko era.
Skelton ain't giving him round unless Joshua carries him!atsch Look what a basic, chinny (albeit massively powerful) fighter like Price did for him! The only people who would last are the top operators and vets who can survive well. Joshua is an absolute beast with plenty of pedigree already, I can see him racking up a 'perfect' record like Deontay till the elite comp comes in to the picture.:!:
What you going on about, where have I said Skelton will give him rounds? I said he needs to be in learning fights where he'll be given rounds...
Aight, thought you were referring to the 'upcoming' Skelton match as 'giving him rounds'. Sozzaaaard. I say take him abroad, fight hard-nuts a la Fury Jr.
Yeh, I'd go with that as a sensible progression, chuck a few Americans in there too for the stateside exposure, maybe try and get on an undercard a bit like Agogo (sic?) did recently. Then on to the fringe, Johnson, Malik Scott, maybe Tor Hamer etc
I can see you having him in against Rogan, ***ton, Sprott, calling Fraudley out of retirement and maybe taking a chance against George Foreman. AJ wasting his time fighting punchbags and is already good enough to take out Hughie Fury, Journeyman Chisora, Tyson Fury then Toemaker.
Another payday for Skelton. The guy is just showing up for a check and will go down like a cement bag as soon as he gets tickled. Joshua will get sparkled when he steps up.
