Ruiz is good but I expect him to get stopped in the mid rounds after a competitive fight.

Under the circumstances, I'm happy with this fight. I hope Ruiz gets in good shape, or should I say, ready for a fight.

Ruiz is actually a better boxer than Miller. Miller just had more hype behind because he's a big black undefeated gobby American who said he was going to shag AJ's mum and then pushed him at the face off.

The replacement is much better than the original opponent imo. He can actually box really well. I expect Joshua to win but this will be a fun fight. Ruiz won’t try and stay out of range, he’ll come to have a fight.

Ruiz is better than a clean Miller for certain. If Miller could have fought without any drug testing, I think he would have caused Joshua some problems, that Ruiz can't.

Casuals will go into meltdown when they see Ruiz with his top off.

I’ll take Ruiz Jr over a cancelled show. If it was cancelled I would be made to see Aladdin or Wicked on Broadway as a replacement lol

Not a bad replacement under the circumstances.

I was hoping we had ruiz vs Kownacki at some point first but it is what it is.

AJ to stop Ruiz in 6 rounds probably via body shot

It’s hard to get excited about any Joshua fight that isn’t Wilder or Fury. Maybe Usyk, let’s see how he does on his debut but I just think size will be his downfall.

I think the division is strong for the record I just think those 3 are your Messi/Ronaldo’s and just levels above. If you ask 10 people to name their top 10 I reckon you’d get 10 different answers because they’re all on the same sort of level beyond those 3.

They're going to have a hell of a time selling this to the PPV mugs. Perhaps they'll mostly ignore Ruiz and focus on the supposed historical importance of AJ fighting in Madison Square Garden and debuting in America 'AJ is representing Old Blighty in the dangerous bearpit of US boxing' and queue Eddie "This is really is a momentous moment for British boxing our greatest HW since Lennox Lewis looking to conquer America".
Deontay and possibly Miller will show up the weigh in and tease a post fight confrontation, will it all kick off after the fight ?? Pay the £20 and find out !!

Considering the circumstances it's not a bad opponent. AJ can only fight what's in front of him.
