Should the judges view the fights via a TV monitor, from the same view point as watching it from home. If you ever been to a fight live. The judges sit in the very front ringside with the ropes obstructing views and almost looking up toward the elevated ring. Theres no way they can possibly judge fights properly from there current view point.
They get the best view being right there. They should have 3 judges on each side of the ring. Maybe the PPV carrier can implement an option for fans to vote round by round which can be instantly counted and shown on screen as to who the fans believe is winning.
They should have Rocketeer-style jetpacks and be able to float around the ring at an altitude of about 20' for the best possible view. Or suspended from the ringside lights, like FanMan.
All told, while we have angles and high definition to assist us - there is a "feel" you only get when you're that close to the action and the sound of impact also helps guide you in a way that you just can't translate onto the TV screen. The other thing about TV angles is that many instances that look like a fighter being hit hard are generally blocked shots/glancing shots that are easier to see when you've got fighters literally 6-8 feet away from you and you can follow the action. Monitors are only good when you're doing slow motion replays from particular angles and there isn't enough time in boxing for that.
