Does anyone else feel that Witter is a massive underacheiver and had the talent to become world class?

EDIT: OR SHOULD HE HAVE ACHEIVED MORE?

He is, and has been for the last 10 years or so, world class.

Not a wasted talent at all. Maybe held back a year or so but he has been world class for sometime

He's world class...but i do feel he could of done a bit more then he already has done but maybe that's not all his making. I hope he will become a bit more aggressive against Alexander and uses his jab more. The Bradley fight was a poor display but in hindsight it's understandable.

he's achieved a lot in his boxing career....think about it. No smoke and mirrors bull****...just a top class fighter.
Shame Hatton never grew the grapes to fight him...that would've seperated hype from reality.

It was a bit unfortunate he fought against Judah when he did. Underprepared and inexperienced. But how often do we complain about prospects being brought along to slowly?
However he was genuine world class and has some nice scalps on his record, in a perfect world he could've done a little bit better but not much. He never had elite level talent imo.

    Yeah definitely.

I think he was judged a bit unfairly on his backfoot performance as late substitute against Judah, and that stain stayed with him a lot longer than it should have, given the circumstances, and turned many of the powerplayers in boxing (as well as would-be fans) away from him.

He had a lot of in-ring antics (like that foot stamping ****), but I would never describe his style as boring, as many others have.

I always liked Witter; not too sure if he could have competed and won at the "very highest" level though.

He could have achieved more but he didn't have the "devil" in his work or the personality that the TV companies go for. Seemed to me to be too easily content to coast to a points when when he could have gone for the stoppge.

I know fanbase/ style/ personality is'nt everything and results should be all that counts but in Witters case his lack in the above areas really impacted his career IMHO.
