Slightly OT but its strange that the Diaz-Paulie decision caused more of an outrage than the Funeka-Guzman one. I thought Saturday nights was far worse.

I stand corrected: The author had a reliable source to throw "7:5 Manny fav" out there even though the US market makers are leaning on Mayweather.

Where you think it all went wrong for Joan then Gaz? he had such vicious slippery skills, maybe ever since the weight issue against Nate? :think

Oh and would Micky Spillane have been proud? ;)

I scored Paulie vs Diaz 3 rounds to Paulie, I scored Funeka vs Guzman 2 rounds to Guzman.

a loss is worse than a draw, and mallignaggi is a far more popular boxer.

Funeka-Guzman was certainly more earth shattering than the Froch-Dirrel fight which the ladies on the general couldn't stop leeking over for weeks......still havent lol.

I guess its only All Eyez on the UK....lol

Guzman just has no sting at this weight, he was outta shape too i think the deciding factor was that he didnt have the energy or the mind set to do what he had to do to keep it at least competivie...when he moved, slipped, put combos together it was very close but he got tired quickly and then instantly Funeka's jab would get going again and he just dominated him with volume and just hard painful looking shots....not even a close fight that really was a disgusting robbery lol damn it Canada.

Simple: Because Funeka isn't American, Gaz. As someone who wanted Guzman to win, that was one of the worst robberies I've ever seen and I feel shitty about boxing when you see something like that. You can't make a case for Guzman winning more than four rounds for Christ's sake! I hope Funeka doesn't even bother with a rematch - HBO seem keen to match him with some of the more established names at 135 and I say **** the title like he got ****ed over.

Mother died of brain cancer apparently so he can be forgiven for going off the boil.
