I'm not really taking the trash talk from either side seriously. Floyd says lots of nonsense, and Cotto's claim of Mayweather always ducking him is humorous, as if Cotto and Arum have been clamoring for this matchup for so long. Actions speak louder than words, and I'm still waiting for Arum and Floyd to get down to business instead of throwing little shots iin the media at each other.
PBF vs Cotto wont be a huge draw IMO. If Cotto were with Golden Boy Promotions, a fight like that would be huge. But since Cotto is with Arum, no one really knows who Cotto is except for the Puerto Ricans and die hard boxing fans.
If that is true, then he needs to stay active. Floyd is at his peak of popularity right now, and if he gives a **** about the sport of boxing and its success, then he needs to ride that wave. Whether he thinks Cotto can beat him or not, Cotto is the biggest welterweight draw out there, and this fight must happen.
Floyd knows - just like we know - the longer he plays the 'retiring or inactive role' the more money they will put up for him to fight. He's Money Mayweather now. So once they hit him with the right number - he'll be whooping Cotto's ass. One more fight for Cotto - then he's all Mayweather's. I'm just hoping that fight is with Oscar. If it is - there could be trouble - cause Oscar has a chance to win that.

Well this trash talk is already a start of MEDIA HYPE . . . what do you think? These people needs to have a gauge before they start negotiating. Are people gonna be interested or not? They have to have a refference figures before talking of how much money is gonna be at stake. :yep
