Virtually all his steps up in class are accounted for in his loss column. He's beaten Joe Riggs, Heath Herring, Cabbage, and drew with Minowaman. That's it. 253 fights and those are his high notes. Cabbage was a badass.. I'm trying to find some more fights of him :good His record isn't all that bad.. 5 knockout losses out of 46 is pretty impressive. His boxing record is disgraceful though. Has probably showed up to lose and collect a better check in the ring for the past 4 years it looks like.
Agreed with most of the fighters mentionned, except for Chuck, I want to see him end his career win or lose against Tito, Although Ortiz will probably find a way to talk thrash and still get away without fighting.
Crocop should probabley retire, or if he does stick around take nothing but smaller fights in Japan. The same for Saku IMHO, no more big names but if he wants to carry on fighting there are likely alot of speical interest matchs with less risk he could take. Nog has definately declined but I do think he could remain relevant for another few years IF he was willing to change tactics. It seems clear that he's lost alot of speed standing yet he's still fighting the same way he did in his prime looking to feel opponants out with the standups. He needs to turn into much more of a Maia style fighter, only stand with weak opponants and look to get the fight to the ground ASAP vs everyone else even if it means pulling guard. When we have seen his BJJ(vs Randy and Sylvia) its still looked as slick as ever. Wanderlei looked good vs Bisping to me and seems like a case of someone who realised his limations, went back to his leg kicks rather than just focusing on boxing. The big unknown is his injuries, are his latest problems just one off injuries that have needed fixing for awhile(like the facial sugery) or are they signs of cronic decline? if its the former I'm hopefuly he maybe able to carry on for another few years as a high level fighter.
if ken shamrock INSISTS on fighting again theres only one opponent i would accept without whining and thats frank so they can bury the hatchet once and for all.
Huge fan of Wanderlei but it time for him to give up for his own benefit. Which will be sad when he does retire as he and shogun are the only fight that make me so nervous when i watch them
