Pretty exciting, almost all the fights finished in the first round.

However, I'm divided about the two knockdown in a round = tko rule; it obviously is in place because of the having to fight multiple fights in one night factor, and it does increase the aggressiveness after one KD, but sometimes it seems like the guy could very well go on to be just fine and even come back and win.

I kind of feel Overeem got screwed, he lost via the 2 KD rule, but wasn't actually knocked down on the second, he got hit with a high kick and was stunned into the corner, but not to the point where he was going to fall down, and the ref immediately calls it.

The commentators were wild with joy, as they saw Overeem as the enemy. At one point during the fight the Australian guy said "Go Hari, come on you crazy *******!" or something to that effect, which is fine, but combined with the stoppage and the fact that K1 is and always has been the single most corrupt entity in combat sports just left me feeling suspicisous.

Schilt won via 2KD rule as well, with two jabs basically, nasty jabs though.

It certainly was not a good night for showcasing defense or chins, fighters went down from some not so great shots; didn't make them look like very good as far as chin goes.

Most exciting GP Final in a long time though.

    x2.

Couldn't agree with you more. Hari was flopping all over the place against Semi. Overeem was stunned in the corner and the fight was waved.. I really like Hari's style, but could almost taste the bias.

That commentator is far up in Hari's ass. Schilt does not seem to like him. Anyone noticed?

It was a 3 knockdown rule in the final and thats how Schilt won.

I have no problem with Schilts win because he scored 3 knockdowns.

The Overeem vs Hari and Karaev vs Hari fights were BS though.

As soon as Karaev was down for the second time he was right back up ready to fight, and with the way they were trading, with Haris chin being dodgy too, he could have esaily got knocked out in a third exchange form Karaev.

The Overeem stoppage was terrible, The guy did'nt even go down ffs.

Did not Undereem just said how "easy" K1 was??? Now I suppose he can dedicate all his time into defeating Fedor. LOL!

Well the Ruslan fight had to be called, the rules are 2 knockdowns in a round ends the fight in all the fights but the final, which is the usual 3.

They thing is, I don't think Overeem should have been called knocked down, he was stunned, but would likely have stayed on his feet even with no ropes.

Well using steroids to over power and win fights, is pretty terrible too. Should we feel sorry for the ****ing ******* Overeem? I thought K-1 was so easy. He shouldnt of been hurt bad in the first place.

He said it was "easier" not "easy", and for him it probably is. The talent pool is much smaller and he has always liked striking more than anything else.
