To be honest itauma seems to prove with his performance that he is on roughly the same level , but if its a duck from agit , its just a slight one . Itauma is not the mandatory challenger for kabayel at current .
Because Usyk is on his way out, and he wants the biggest paydays in his last 3 fights. Kabayel is still young, he should fight Itauma.
Usyk should be made to fight Kabayel not hold the belts hostage or be stripped.Kabayel res has been good & he's over due his shot @ Usyk.Itauma done good so far, but does not have the res Kabayel has btw Itauma only had 14 fights, this is why it should be Kabayel first no if's or butts.
It sucks a bit to ever again hear the "cashout fight on his way out " fairy tale in a try to excuse the event. the giza joke will never generate more money , value and fanbase than a real title defence at wembley and except that as a belt holder you have a duty to defend it against legit contenders .
Kabayel vs itauma would be very intereting. If itauma doesnt get kabayel early it might turn bad for him really quickly though and i would prefer to have a nice career trajectory for itauma. Also itauma is a lose lose situation for kabayel - if he wins, he won against a 21 year old with little experience who will be retrospectively be called "all hype" and if he loses he loses his chance to fight for the wbc in like 2032 or something. After defeating makhmudov (who is still good enough for fury apparently), sanchez (who was reportedly ducked by itauma people on this forum claim) and zhang (who was at least good enough to ko would be opponent for usyk wilder) i can understand the route he is taking now. This way, sadly wardley might overtake him if he wins against dubois (which i doubt). on the other hand if you only get the ones no one wants to Fight, but no fights for glory and money i would be annoyed, too.
Okay, Usyk will fight Verhoeven in May, meanwhile Kabayel may fight Itauma in June, and then Kabayel and Usyk may fight in January. Kabayel fights once a year, it's not a brave and honest behavior for a 33 year old young boxer who is said to deserve the title.
His competition is severely lacking compared to Agit. While I think he has the goods, he still needs more quality wins IMO to prove he's on that level (Which I think he can/will be)
Itauma, early stoppage. Kayabel's faced better opposition, but I think Itauma's all wrong for him someone who can take a while to get going and who has been dropped early on at least a couple of occasions.
Itauma takes Kabayel's head off, his counterpunching is too fast and sharp. Kabayel won't see them coming. That uppercut especially is a fantastic weapon.
