Anyone else still buzzing about this. Kambosos came across as a tube in the build up VS Selby but Teofimo can inspire you to support just about anyone if they're in the opposite corner. Lopez Sr cornerwork was chaotic. There's no way Jr will ever leave him though. Guess the best they can do is bring an experienced second in.

Cracking fight and well done to Kambosos. Couldn’t of scored it any better myself. Lopez needs to move up, not taking anything away from Kambosos, Lopez did well to get through that.

Because this fight was a mandatory that went to purse bids there is no rematch clause haha. Love to see it. Same thing happened with Loma and they refused to entertain him in a rematch. Reap what you sow.
So happy for George. He is a throwback, a good guy, and a man's man. Teo's win over Loma has got to his head. He thinks he's unbeatable. The amount of people that were writing off GK was crazy! Bet the odds were good for a win. Hopefully that overrated idiot Haney gets dealt with by GK now.
He got dropped in the first round. His face was battered. He lost the fight, they should show more humility in defeat.
Not a fan of either fighter, but undeniably a great fight. Lopez should really be kicking himself, despite the weight issues he would have won that fight if he just had a more mature approach, he lost last night largely due to unbelievable arrogance. If he took his time in the first round and didn't get dropped after totally losing his discipline, he wins the 1st by one instead of losing it by two and wins the fight. Not to mention the confidence boost and phycological edge it gave to his opponent putting him down within the first 3 minutes- without that Kambosos fights a different fight, and Teofimo edges it on points in a tough, grueling contest. He showed his opponent a total lack of respect and paid for it. The corner work was also some of worst I have seen in a long, long time. It was hard to believe what I was hearing at times. His father had a huge role in losing him his titles. More humility, a better corner and Lopez wins.
Brilliant performance. Dominated Lopez. Only seen him before in his close, dull fight with Selby in which he looked average.So it was a big shock.
One thing I will say about Kambosos is he really is a promoters dream when it comes to selling a fight. His a very good talker and knows how to self promote. Also why fighters continue to stay at a weight class they are not fit for continues to baffle me. Its just stupid putting a fighter through unnecessary stress to make weight and then hoping they can get through the fight. Eventually the weight issues catch up with a fighter and they either lose or look terrible when winning before finally moving up. Both scenarios can be avoided by just moving up when the body is telling the fighter its time to move.
Breath of fresh air for the lightweight division.the so called 4 kings(embarrassing)should have no problem going to Sydney for all the belts.
No it’s not stop making silly sweeping statements, Lopez was twice the size of him in that fight and it’s common knowledge he hasn’t been serious injury free since Linares. He’s one of the greats.
