He's too wide with his feet and punches. He's always been a seek and destroy guy, but he at least was a little quicker and sharper about it than he is tonight. After 3 he looks terrible. Time to hang 'em up great, and you've earned it.
yeah definately earns the right right to say had a great career, but this is now getting abit sad to watch, hes getting outpunched in numbers also, no power at this weight for katsidis
There really was not much slickness from Mensah, imo...He didn't do anything extra-ordinary. Katsidis was just there to be hit... didn't move much, and his power was very non-existant. To sum it up he was just very ineffective. Mensah just kept throwing the left hook for half the fight and it landed almost everytime. Katsidis needs to hang them up.

yeah, i noticed the snap of his mauling punches tapered off quite a bit going into the 3rd round... i think he was a bit over-excited and didnt pace himself - he put out something like 140 punches on the 1st round? Mebbe he was attempting to shock & awe his opponent. His aggression was rarely effective vs the defense of Mensah, and mostly resulted to ineffective mauling. Last 1/4 of the match, he was basically arm-punching Its time to hang them up, or feast on C-level fighters...
Katsidis needs to have a size edge and he needs to be able to hurt his opponent to win. He didn't have that tonite, and he lost. Mensah isn't great and he'll lose soon I'm sure. Katsidis should retire, and if he can't go back to 135 he absolutely needs to retire. His style and his inability to avoid shots could lead to a sad end for him.

lol, be nice to him. I think Mensah deserves more credit, and i think he's a solid B fighter. He did great sitting in the pocket, shortening up his shots and countering, all the while making Katsidis an ineffective mauler... When he did push and create space, he markedly out-classed Katsidis in "No Man's Land"
Maybe its not too late for him to hook up with Robert Garcia, even though it would probably mean no big money fight with Rios.
