So with Marquez winning today, that means he has to face Katsidis or give up the belt. You think this fight will happen, has Marquez said anything about it ?

I really hope Michael gets this. Khan can wait his turn. :good

As for Marquez, in his interview he said his priority was chasing Pacquiao, not taking care of business at lightweight.

    Katsidis has earnt the shot.

Khan needs to fight Bradley or Alexander.

I'd be hoping for Michael's sake that Marquez vacates, because I don't think he'd beat him. It'd be a great fight to watch though.

Just read this on GBP's twitter account.

JMM - "My priority right now has always been Pacquiao. If I have to defend my title I will with honor. Against Katsidis? That's what I'll do"

They WONT FIGHT but hope am i wrong because i'll say it here and now and have people laugh at me. If they fight Michael will blow Marquez away early ONLY because Marquez gets caught easily in the early rounds.....AND YES i know Mike does get hit but the fact he attacks will be the difference.

It'll certainly be interesting if it happens. Two of the biggest punchers in the division, unafraid to take a few whilst doing it. That said, I don't think it will happen. Also another Marquez/PAC doesn't excite me. PAC is just too big now

i dont think marquez would be worried to defend against Katsidis given the guy he just defeated (diaz) has defeated katsidis in the past.

Agree. I'd love to see kats v jmm but i think marquez is too acurate a puncher and would find kats chin too many times.

    He's a dead set marvel.

The triangle theory is flawed to begin with; Marquez and Diaz are both past-peak and on different angles of decline; Katsidis is prime.

Yeah butt :hey an ATG on the decline may still have too much in the bag for Kats...JMM's jab, uppercut's and hooks land at will then when he feels comfortable he lands the straight right

His punches are too accurate for Kats and he will need to blow JMM out before 5 rounds or suffer a bloody points or cut's stoppage loss

That being said GO KATS :bbb:bbb:bbbwill be looking forward to this fight :good

i give kats a good chance - he's a much better fighter since his loss to diaz, way more focused. but can't see jmm staying in the division for this fight with other way more lucrative ones on the horizon ie pac. at 36 kats is a very tough opponent.
