I like the idea of David Diaz but I'd prefer if Kats came back to Australia and fought a few journeymen before taking on any of the lightweight top 10.
A number of the names being mentioned would be good and winnable fights for Katsidis. Chavez, D Diaz, and Valero make for entertaining fights and I think HBO would be interested and Katsidis could pick up a notable win. I'd also add Kid Diamond, Edner Cherry(after Bradley beats him next week), and Santa Cruz(good fight but Katsidis might lose this one) are all good fights as well.
Yeah man but in Australia he would not have exposure(hard to believe HBO or Sho would come in Australia) and fighting a journeyman doesn't do anything except a little confidence.Better off with a B fighter on HBO
I think if Katsisdis learned a few new tricks like how to bob and weave when coming in Joe frazir style and learn to throw the hook and put on educated pressure to wear and beat guys down he would be much more effective the mantle is there but the scooling is the missing piece of the puzzle. He needs a better trainer who can show him a few subtlties, this kid has guts.
Katsidis-Valero= WAR!!!!!!! Katsidis won't fight any cabdrivers to get ready, whats the point? If he derails Valero he'll be hailed as a god and be right back in the mix Torres would also be a good fight but its not a LW fight, lets not get too carried away here
Boring as hell and coming off a loss. That would be a horrible move, fighting a dangerous fighter who's a bad style matchup with no ranking for no money.
